Company: Metalico Buffalo Inc.
Position: Heavy Equipment Operator.
Location: 2133 Maple Ave. Niagara Falls NY, 14305
Job Type: Full-time, Non-exempt.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-4:00PM, Saturdays as needed 8:00AM-12:00PM.
Compensation: $19.00-22.00/hr, based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

Safe Handling and/or moving material.
Knowledge of the excavator/magnet/grapple loading requirements; material shipping specifications; weight thresholds.
Effective communication with all site personnel.
Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance, etc.
Daily maintenance of equipment.
Identify, report, correct and/or prevent hazards.
Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensure work is completed in a safe and responsible manner.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis.
Work outside in the elements regardless of the season.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Heavy equipment certification a plus.
2+ years of heavy equipment operation experience.
Organizational skills, able to multitask.
Self-motivated, ability to work independently.
Team player, able to get along with a diverse group.
